چکیده

Typhonium flagelliforme or known as rat taro is a herbaceous plant that belongs to the tribe. The results of phytochemical analysis leaves and tuber extracts are contain secondary metabolite compounds belonging class flavonoids, alkaloids, triterpenoids, steroids, saponins, tannins which act antimicrobials. This study aims determine effectiveness leaf, stem (Typhonium (Lodd)) biofungicide against cause leaf fall (Pestalotiopsis sp.) on rubber plants (Hevea brasiliensis). Leaf samples came from at PTPN III Karet Sei Putih, Galan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. Pestalotiopsis sp. was isolated parts showing symptoms. Pieces infected with grown PDA media in petri dish incubated for ±7 days room temperature 26–28oC. After incubation, microscopic identification conidia fungus carried out. In vitro test inhibition power leaves, stems tubers out using culture method. screening showed contained chemical tannins, alkoloids, steroids/triterpenoids. (T. L.) have potential biofungicides, K13 treatment extract 9% best could inhibit growth

Neofusicoccum ribis Associated with Leaf Blight on Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) in Peninsular Malaysia

Hevea brasiliensis is a natural source of rubber and an important plantation tree species in Malaysia. Leaf blight disease caused by Fusicoccum substantially reduces the growth and performance of H. brasiliensis. The aim of this study was to use a combination of both morphological characteristics and molecular data to clarify the taxonomic position of the fungus associated with leaf blight dise...

A Stimulator Protein of Rubber Biosynthesis from Hevea brasiliensis Latex

A rubber biosynthesis stimulator protein (RBSP)from the C-serum of Hevea brasiliensis latex was purified and characterised. This proteinaceous factor stimulates the incorporation of isopentenyl diphosphate into rubber and thereby enhances the rate of rubber biosynthesis. The heat stable RBSP is shown to have a molecular weight of 13 068 Da by mass spectroscopy. Amino acid sequence of peptide fr...

Identification and reconstitution of the rubber biosynthetic machinery on rubber particles from Hevea brasiliensis

Natural rubber (NR) is stored in latex as rubber particles (RPs), rubber molecules surrounded by a lipid monolayer. Rubber transferase (RTase), the enzyme responsible for NR biosynthesis, is believed to be a member of the cis-prenyltransferase (cPT) family. However, none of the recombinant cPTs have shown RTase activity independently. We show that HRT1, a cPT from Heveabrasiliensis, exhibits di...

Metabolic routes affecting rubber biosynthesis in Hevea brasiliensis latex

The cytosolic mevalonate (MVA) pathway in Hevea brasiliensis latex is the conventionally accepted pathway which provides isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) for cis-polyisoprene (rubber) biosynthesis. However, the plastidic 2-C-methyl-D-erythritol 4-phosphate (MEP) pathway may be an alternative source of IPP since its more recent discovery in plants. Quantitative RT-PCR (qRT-PCR) expression profiles ...
